Alphaland-PAL to reward premium flyers with free stay in Balesin

Alphaland Corp. of bilyonaryo Robert V. Ongpin has teamed up with bilyonaryo Lucio Tan’s Philippine Airlines for a mileage rewards program allowing its premium flyers to stay for free in upscale island resort Balesin.

Alphaland said in an Inquirer report the partnership would enable PAL Mabuhay Miles’ “million milers” and “premier elite” members to use their mileage credit for the ultimate reward.

Alphaland said one needs 200,000 Mabuhay Miles to redeem a five-day/four-night stay at Balesin Club Resort for two, including round-trip airfare from Manila as well as the food and beverage credit per person per day.

The “premium elite” members of PAL’s Mabuhay Miles program are those who achieve any of the following on eligible tickets every year:

earn 45,000 tier Miles on PAL and code-share flights fly 50 one-way qualifying flights on any class of service on PAL and code-share flights, and fly 25 one-way qualifying flights on business class on PAL and code-share flights.

Meanwhile, so-called “million milers” are those who have flown one million cumulative tier miles on PAL and PAL Express, earning the highest level of privileges in the “premier elite” level for life. These people are given first-priority treatment and dedicated travel assistance.

Balesin is a 500-hectare tropical island resort with 7.3 kilometers of beaches developed by Alphaland. It is located 21 km southeast of Polillo, Quezon Province and just 60 nautical miles east of Manila. It takes about 20 minutes by plane to reach this island from Manila.

Patterned after some of the most luxurious beach side resorts around the world, Balesin has a main clubhouse and destination spa as the centerpiece alongside seven themed villages with numerous villas and suites, namely: Balesin, Bali, Phuket, Mykonos, St. Tropez, Costa del Sol and Toscana.
