Robinsons Land, Japanese firm ink marketing deal

Japanese property management company Xymax Corp. has tapped Robinsons Land Corp. to market its Karaksa hotels to the Philippine market through the website of Gokongwei’s budget hotel brand, Go Hotels.

Karaksa Hotels is a new economy Japanese hotel brand similar to the Go Hotels with added innovations in room amenities and facilities to adapt to Japanese standards.

The partnership is aimed at attracting more customers given the growing number of Filipinos visiting Japan.

The first two Karaksa Hotels opened in the top tourist destinations of Kansai, Osaka Shinsaibashi and Kyoto.

Xymax is planning to build new Karaksa Hotels in Tokyo and Hokkaido as part of its plan open 1,500 hotel rooms in the next three years.
Guest rooms of Karaksa Hotels all come with high-quality beds, hot and cold shower, bath amenities, free Wi-Fi, buffet breakfast for all the guests, and use of slippers and pajamas (in keeping with Japanese culture).

Robinsons Land is targeting to grow the number of its hotel rooms to about 4,100 by 2020.
