Generika to open 152 drugstores this year
GENERIKA Drugstore is targeting to open 152 new stores for 2016, less than a year after Ayala Corp. acquired half of the pharmaceutical chain known for selling affordable generic drugs.
Generika President and co-founder Teodoro L. Ferrer said the company is on track to meet its five-year plan to have at least 1,000 stores by the end of 2020.
“We’re now 600 stores. We should exceed 1,000 stores long before [the five years],” he said in an interview at the sidelines of the Asia SME Summit Forum at Marriott Hotel in Pasay City on Wednesday.
