Globe putting in $1M for Binondo broadband
GLOBE Telecom, Inc. is investing at least $1 million to deploy fiber broadband in Binondo district, as it converts Manila into the first digitized city in the Philippines by July.
“We will provide Internet of up to 1 Gbps (Gigabits per second)…to 5,000 establishments and homes in Binondo, to make it at par with world-class standards,” Globe Chief Commercial Officer Albert M. de Larrazabal said during Wednesday’s 4th myBusiness Day at the Lucky Chinatown.
The company will also offer shoppers at the commercial district Internet speeds of up to 100 megabits per second (Mbps).
