Lopez family eyes 2M blackbox sales by Dec

Media conglomerate ABS-CBN Corp. expects to sell two million TV Plus boxes by the end of the year.

The Lopez-led broadcasting firm had sold more than 1.6 million TVPlus boxes as of the end of September.

The sales forecast was anchored on the afoordable pricing strategy. From the initial price of P2,499 in February 2015, TVPlus boxes are currently being sold for only P1,499 each.

Registrations for the Kapamilya Box Office (KBO), the newest feature of ABS-CBN TVPlus, have already reached 136,000 since it was launched last May.

KBO allows families to have more TV bonding moments at home via commercial-free weekend movie marathons for P30.

It now has 57,000 unique customers where 45 percent of the subscribers have repeat purchases.
