Ayalas take control of Aussie phone retailer’s PH network

 

Globe Telecoms is taking over Taodharma Inc.,the exclusive licensee of Allphones Australia in the Philippines.

The Ayala-led firm informed the Philippine Stock Exchange that its board of directors approved the increase of its stake in Taodharma from 25 percent to 67 percent.

“Accordingly, the change of our stake in Taodharma shall be reflected in the pertinent regulatory reports,” Globe said.

Globe entered into an exclusive partnership with Allphones to widen its distribution footprint.

Allphones has more than 50 branches in the Philippines, carrying the widest range of handset brands, including device accessories and other gadgets.

It prides itself with a tablet-based, digital, and paperless process for faster, safer and more seamless plan applications.
