Brewing strong: Manny Villar’s Coffee Project opens 9th branch
With barely two years since the opening of its first branch, the Coffee Project, a chain owned by business magnate and former senator Manny Villar, seemed to have already concocted the perfect brew for success.
On November 5, the shop formally opened its ninth branch at Starmall Prima Molino in Daanghari, Cavite. It was no less than Villar, a self-confessed coffee enthusiast, who oversaw the branch’s opening day operation.
“We just opened our 9th branch in Daanghari, Cavite and we have a few more to launch before the year ends. Watch out on which cities we’ll be conquering next!” the Coffee Project said on its Facebook post.
Just like its other Coffee Project shops, the branch in Daanghari is spacious, cozy and inviting, perfect for lazy afternoon reading, cramming up with work presentations or just for simple catching up with friends.
Villar had earlier said that he intends to expand his coffee business outside Luzon targeting to have a total of 23 branches operational by the end of 2017. He in fact allotted P225 million for Coffee Project’s immediate expansion.
Villar said he is also open to enter into partnerships with other local coffee companies such as Bo’s Coffee and Figaro.
Aside from its newest branch, Coffee Project also have shops in Metropolis mall in Alabang, Starmall, Parañaque, Will Tower in Quezon City, All-Home in Imus, Cavite, Vista Mall Antipolo, Vista Mall Sta. Rosa, Vista Mall Pampanga, and Vista Mall Bataan.
