Generous Yolanda housing donors make SM exec Hans Sy’s day

During a Thanksgiving Dinner at Conrad Hotel last November 8, a very proud and grateful Bilyonaryo Hans Sy lauded the donors of SM Cares Housing Project for the survivors of typhoon Yolanda.

On its Facebook post, SM Cares, a division of the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of SM Prime Holdings, Inc., reported that 1,000 disaster resilient homes were built in areas that were hardly hit by typhoon Yolanda: 200 houses built in Bogo City, Cebu; 200 houses in Concepcion, Iloilo; 400 houses in Tacloban, Leyte; and 200 in Ormoc, Leyte.

Names of the donors were posted on a massive wall display and a video presentation featuring the project completion as well as messages from the beneficiaries was shown during the event.

“We did this together,” Sy said in his speech according to an SM Supermalls tweet. #
