San Mig Brewery sets $500M capital spending
San Miguel Brewery Inc. has earmarked $500 million over the next two and a half years to build new plants in Los Angeles California and in the Philippines as well as expand existing facilities.
About $150 million of rhe programmed capital budget will go to the construction of a brewery in California.
The joint venture between Japan’s Kirin and food and beverage giant San Miguel Corp. also plans to build two breweries in Cagayan de Oro and Iloilo City with a capacity of two million hectoliters each. Other funds will be used to expand existing facilities.
SMB has plants in Bacold, Davao, Cebu, Valenzuela, Pampanga, Laguna, Bicol and Isabela.
Overseas, the company has facilities in Thailand, Indonesia, China, Hong Kong and Vietnam.
