Citicore ventures into hydropower developments

 

Citicore Power Inc. has secured service contracts for five pumped-storage hydropower projects with an aggregate capacity of 2,300 megawatts (MW).

Without elaborating on specific areas, the company said these hydropower plants are all located in south Luzon.

The projects are consisntent with its goal of providing green energy, while protecting the environment and setting up economic opportunities for the communities where the projects are located, Citicore said.

So far, it has over 100 MW of solar capacity in its portfolio. These are the 18-MW solar plant in Mariveles, Bataan; the 25-MW solar farm in Silay City, Negros Occidental; and the 60-MW solar power facility in Toledo City, Cebu.
