Enderun Colleges is Dennis Uy’s new conquest
Interest within the education sector has been heating up with oil magnate Dennis Uy becoming the latest tycoon to invest in what has become the new playground for corporate titans.
Uy, through holding firm Udenna Corporation, has sealed a deal to acquire 100 percent of Enderun Colleges Inc., which focuses its academic programs though hospitality management, culinary arts, entrepreneurship and economics.
“Enderun Colleges provides us another opportunity to support the Philippine economy’s growth. We believe that quality education and skills training are what make our human capital more productive and competitive,” Uy said.
Enderun Colleges was established in 2005, with its main campus located on a 1.8-hectare property in Fort Bonifacio.
Aside from offering degree and certificate programs, Enderun Colleges operates food and beverage outlets within and outside its campus.
“In 10 years, Enderun Colleges has established itself as a premier management school, anchored on holistic leadership development, global orientation and career-focused academic programs while providing its students a vibrant college life,” said its president Edgardo Rodriguez.
Enderun is the latest in a string of acquisitions by Uy, who has interests in oil and gas through Phoenix Petroleum Philippines, shipping and logistics through Chelsea Logistics Holdings, and real estate through Udenna Development.
