Phinma Energy goes into solar development
Phinma Energy Corp., led by former Energy secretary Francisco Viray, is looking to develop a 45-megawatt (MW) solar farm in Pangasinan, its first solar venture to-date.
This is after it entered into solar energy service contract with the Department of Energy (DOE).
The contract grants Phinma Energy the exclusive right to explore, develop and utilize the solar energy resource in a 648-hectare area in the Bugallon, Pangasinan.
The company said it expects to complete pre-development activities such as yield assessment, environmental impact study and system impact study within the year.
