Phinma Energy, Citicore to build pump storage power plants in Laguna de Bay
Phinma Energy Corp. of bilyonaryo Ramon del Rosario and newcomer Citicore Inc. are among the companies putting up pump storage power plant in Laguna de Bay.
Department of Energy (DOE) director Mario Marasigan said the agency has received six proposals to put up pump storage plants in the country’s largest lake.
He said the proposed projects of Phinma Energy and Citicore could have capacities ranging from 400 to 600 megawatts (MW).
However, these will be dependent on the results on feasibility studies being undertaken by the project proponents that will determine whether Laguna de Bay has the hydrography to host these projects.
