Ayala Group makes big push into healthcare

 

Conglomerate Ayala Corp. plans to roll out 14 more clinics this year to expand its foothold in healthcare.

AC Healthcare opened four branches of FamilyDOC in the first half, boosting its network to 10 in the southern Greater Manila area. These four clinics are located in Las Pinas, Imus, Cavite and Paranaque.

Since opening its pilot clinic in 2015, FamilyDOC bas served over 30,000 patients as of July this year.

The Ayala Group plans to boost the number of FamilyDOC clinics to 100 by 2020. It has budgeted $100 million to $200 million over the next three to five years to expand its healthcare business which also includes the Generika drugstore and online pharmacy MedGrocer.
