Cher Tiu loads up on Belgian beers and cheese

Cheryl Tiu is conquering Belgium one bottle of beer at a time.

Always breaking barriers through culture and food, the daughter of Tagaytay Highlands co-founder Jerry Tiu is teaching us how to accept a most interesting pairing – Belgian beer and cheese.

“Beer & cheese pairing is quite the thing here in Bruges. I’m told that the bubbles in the beer (carbon oxide) break the creaminess of the cheese that covers your tastebuds; and the bitterness resets your palate. T Groendal is a family-run company (that’s their son, Louis-Philippe Deweer) who makes amazing cheeses. Gert de Mangeleer carries their selection at Hertog Jan here in Belgium, and likewise Albert Adria carries their Old Groendal farm cheese (beautiful umami!) at his restaurants in Spain. #tgroendal #cheese#beer #beerandcheese#beerandcheesepairing#fromflanderswithfood #visitflanders#brugge #belgium #flanders#cheryltiutravels #cheryltiubelgium” @chertiu
Santé, Cher! #
