RCBC sets Oct. 15 deadline to get old magstripe cards replaced
Depositors have six weeks left to get their cards switched.
Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) has set an Oct. 15 deadline for all their clients to come to a branch and get their replacement cards with the EMV microchip technology.
The bank owned by the bilyonaryo Yuchengcos announced that all customers with debit and credit cards must update their information and surrender their old magnetic strip cards before the deadline. Failure to do so would result in automatic deactivation of the card.
The bank assured that the slight hassle would mean improved security and protection.
