Cebu Pac to add Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia flights
Gokongwei-led Cebu Pacific is mounting more flights to key select international routes amid an expected boost in passenger traffic during the peak yuletide season.
“We constantly review our route network and frequencies to respond to changing market needs and operational requirements. Depending on seasonal factors, we make flight schedule changes as necessary, while keeping in mind the bookings of our passengers, many of whom book flights way in advance,” said JR Mantaring, vice president for Corporate Affairs of Cebu Pacific.
Cebu Pacific said it was increasing the number of flights to Japan, Vietnam and Indonesia starting in the fourth quarter until the first three months of 2018.
From the current five times weekly, Cebu Pacific will fly six times a week between Manila and Osaka starting Nov. 3 unti Dec. 6, 2017.
The Manila-Osaka route will increase further to daily operations by December 15 to March 2018, in time for the Christmas season.
For the Manila-Nagoya route, the airline will fly six times a week, up from the current four times weekly starting Oct. 29.
For Tokyo (Narita), on the other hand, CEB will boost frequency by 100 percent to 14 times weekly.
Cebu Pacific will also increase flights to and from Bali (Denpasar), Indonesia to five times from four times a week starting Dec. 4, until March 6, 2018.
From five times weekly, Cebu Pacific will increase flights between Manila and Hanoi, Vietnam to seven times a week.
