DoTr finds RSA’s Bulacan airport proposal feasible

San Miguel Corp.’s proposal to build a P700 billion international airport in Bulacan has gained the support of the Department of Transportation.

Transport Undersecretary for Aviation Manuel Antonio Tamayo said the agency found the proposed international airport in Bulacan feasible

“We are coordinating with NEDA [National Economic and Development Authority], we are looking at how we will classify it in order to give them an original proponent status,” Tamayo said.

“We are rushing it based on the instruction of Secretary Tugade,” Tamayo said.

He,however, pointed out that the approval of the proposed airport involves other government agencies.

SMC’s proposal entails the construction of at least four runways..
