PAL, Royal Brunei Airlines ink code-share deal

 

Lucio Tan-led Philippine Airlines has signed a code-sharing agreement with Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) for flights between the Philippines and Brunei.

The deal covers the routes: Manila – Bandar Seri Begawan, and Cebu – Bandar Seri Begawan (via Manila).

Bandar Seri Begawan is the capital and largest city of Brunei Darussalam.

“The codeshare partnership reconnects PAL with the Sultanate of Brunei which is home to close to 20,000 overseas Filipino workers. This renewed partnership with RB also expands our network supporting our vision of becoming a five star airline,” said Jaime J. Bautista, president and COO of PAL.

Royal Brunei Airlines is PAL’s 14th code-share partner and PAL’s fourth code-share partner in South East Asia. Through this partnership, PAL adds another destination to its Asian network.

PAL’s existing code – share partners include Air Macau, ANA, Cathay Pacific, China Airlines, Etihad, Garuda Indonesia, Gulf Air, Hawaiian Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Vietnam Airlines, WestJet and XiamenAir.
