Trucking firms back NLEX Harbor Link R10
The trucking industry is supporting the construction of the P6 billion, 2.6-kilometer elevated expressway that will pass through Radial Road 10 and Circumferential Road 3 in Navotas City.
The project, which forms part of the North Luzon Expressway Harbor Link Segment 10, is seen to advance transport logistics and facilitate efficient delivery of goods with the direct and quick access between NLEX and the Port of Manila.
“We’re glad this project is becoming a reality. Completing NLEX Harbor Link to R10 in Navotas City will be a big help to our business. The direct routes between provinces in Central and North Luzon and the CAMANAVA area will make the transport of cargo easier and faster,” said Mario Yap, president of Manila North Harbor Truckers Association and owner of 88 Logistics Co. said.
Manuel Dennis Carlos, president of Phil. Hattori Construction and Development Corp. said the completion of the Harbor Link would enable their drivers to meet the cut-off time for delivering the products to clients and further ensure that these products arrive in good condition.
NLEX president and CEO Rodrigo Franco said the completion of the NLEX Harbor Link was envisioned to alleviate traffic congestion in Metro Manila and help truckers and private motorists realize significant savings in vehicle operating costs.
