PAL beefs up fleet to 83

 

Philippine Airlines has accepted the delivery of its second Bombardier Q400 aircraft, increasing the number of is fleet to 83 aircraft.

The 86-seater plane would be used for the airline’s select intra-domestic routes.

PAL and Bombardier have earlier signed an agreement for the purchase of 12 Next Gen Q4s.

The Lucio Tan-led airline expects the remaining 10 units to be delivered from 2017 to 2019.

PAl is embarking on a major fleet and flight route network expansion in its bid to become a fove-star carrier.

It flies its fleet of turboprops to – Basco, Busuanga, Naga, Calbayog, Catarman, Surigao, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Caticlan, Tacloban, Legazpi, Iloilo, Bacolod, and soon to Zamboanga and Jolo.
