George Ty saw the future 10 years ago… and he started building up the Hyatt towers
Bilyonaryo George S.K. Ty aims to further elevate Bonifacio Global City’s status to new heights with upscale projects like Grand Hyatt Manila and Grand Hyatt Residences.
It was ten years ago that the family patriarch himself laid out the vision for Federal Land’s multi-billion peso mixed-use complex, which will have a luxury hotel, premium office space, first-class residential apartments and high-end retail establishments.
“George S.K. Ty conceptualized this ambitious project 10 years ago, ahead of the Philippine economy’s rise to prominence today,” Federal Land president Alfred Ty revealed during the launch of the Grand Hyatt Manila, a partnership with Japanese financial services group Orix Corp.
To be managed by Grand Hyatt Hotels worldwide, the 66-storey Grand Hyatt Manila will have 460 rooms and seven culinary destinations. Construction of the hotel is in full swing and is slated for completion by the fourth quarter.
“Designed to cater to the discerning market and top level travellers, this hotel is envisioned to be a top of mind choice,” said the younger Ty, adding that Grand Hyatt Manila’s highlight is the 60th floor rooftop restaurant which will offer unlimited view of Metro Manila.
“Grand Hyatt Manila will be the 48th Grand Hyatt globally, out of 731 Hyatt properties in 56 countries,” Alfred said.
The project will erect one of the tallest skyscrapers in the country.
