Lapena to monitor BOC daily to reach P50B monthly target
Eyes on the prize always!
Customs Commissioner Isidro Lapeña is fairly confident about meeting the revenue target set for the bureau this year even as he had some catching up to do over the next four months.
The former Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency chief said in a press briefing that he was “positive” about meeting the full-year revenue goal set for the Bureau of Customs, saying that he would monitor the matrix shortfall and surplus of every port on a daily basis.
To meet the monthly P50.1 billion target given by Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III, Lapeña would have to raise P2 billion every business day.
The counting starts now.
