GMA-7 upbeat on performance of regional stations
Broadcasting firm GMA Network Inc. expects its regional stations to sustain their strong performance as it continued to expand nationwide.
GMA-7 is shoring up its presence in Southern Philippines amid growing sales from local advertisers.
“ Regional TV is healthy and we remain optimistic that the strong performance of our nine regional stations and offices will continue,” said Oliver Victor Amoroso, vice president and head of GMA’s Regional TV department .
Amoroso said the network wad eyeing P120 million in advertising revenues from its local advertisers this year, higher than the P103 million recorded in 2016.
GMA-7 recently ) launched the local news program One Mindanao, which features comprehensive and in-depth delivery of news and information in the region.
“We continue to strengthen our local news programs, through beefing up our content, which cater to distinct regional taste,” Amoroso said.
The local news programs airs in Davao, Cagayan De Oro City, General Santos City, Jolo, Sulu; Zamboanga City, Cotobato City, Tandag City, Surigao City, Butuan City, Dipolog City, Pagadian City, OZamiz City, Iligan City and Bukidnon.
