DPWH to complete Davao bypass project phase 1 by 2022

The Department of Public Works and Highways expects to complete the fist segment of the P46 billion Davao City bypass road in 2022.

“The detailed engineering design of the P19.8 billion Davao City by-pass is already on-going. The first phase of the project will be completed in 2022,” Public Works Secretary Mark Villar said.

The project is a 44.6 km by-pass road with a 2.28 km tunnel, which is expected to reduce travel time from Digos to Panabo from 1 hour and 44 minutes via Pan-Philippine Highway to only 49 minutes via Davao By-Pass Road.
