Cher Tiu raves about Grassroots Pantry’s vegan food

 

Cheryl Tiu actually likes vegan food.

The daughter of Highlands co-founder Jerry Tiu was impressed with Grassroots Pantry HK’s “excellent” plant-based dishes sans garlic and onions.

“My faves were (1) Grassroots Pantry’s Miang Kham– where the Thai snack had bettle leaves topped w/ banana blossoms, xo sauce, fermented tofu, galangal paste, toasted coconut, dehydrated cashews, calamansi and cucumber– YUM!! And (2) Hey Handsome’s Jackfruit and egg fruit served w/ fermented carrots, compressed tomatoes and topped w/ white rice tutong. Also loved the juice-pairing done by team Hey Handsome! That’s lemongrass-galangal-passionfruit (3)!” @chertiu said on Ig.
