Phoenix rebrands Petronas LPG

 

Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc. of businessman Dennis Uy will rebrand the Petronas liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) under its brand as it filed for applications with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Intellectual Property Office (IPO).

Phoenix Petroleum COO Henry Albert Fadullon said that when they acquired the Petronas brand, they only had a limited time to use the brand

“We’re registering our own name at some time, and when that has been approved, we’ll carry that name,” he said.

Phoenix Petroleum acquired Petronas Energy Philippines Inc. (PEPI) and Duta Inc. which holds the Petronas LPG brand in the country and its land assets.

PEPI is owned by PDB (Netherlands) B.V., a wholly-owned subsidiary of of Malaysian oil and gas company Petronas Dagangan Berhad and has been in the LPG business for over 20 years.
