ABS-CBN claims top TV ratings in September
Lopez-led media conglomerate ABS-CBN Corp. held on to its position as the most watched network nationwide.
Data from Kantar Media showed ABS-CBN recorded an average audience share of 47 percent or 14 points higher than GMA’s 33 percent.
ABS-CBN likewise lorded over primetime anew, recording an average share of 51 percent, up by 20 percentage points over rival GMA’s 31 percent.
The broadcasting firm also ruled the morning, noontime and afternoon block, registering an average audience share of 40 percent, 47 percent and 43 percent, respectively.
It also maintained its total day lead in Total Luzon where it snapped a 43 percent audience share versus GMA’s 36 percent.
The Kapamilya network logged a 54 percent audience share in Visayas and Mindanao.
Multinational audience measurement provider Kantar Media uses a nationwide panel size of 2,610 urban and rural homes that represent 100 percent of the total Philippine TV viewing population.
