Lisa Macuja’s Ballet Manila gets ‘long standing ovation’ in Russia
Ballet Manila, led by prima ballerina Lisa Macuja, received thunderous applause from the Moscow State Folk Theater.
The wife of business magnate Fred Elizalde happily shared on her Instagram that the Ballet Manila delegates who performed for the Days of Philippine Culture got major love from its Russian audience.
Organized by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts and the Ministry of Culture in Russia, the Days of Philippine Culture in Russia features various activities and performances that will showcase the best of Philippine culture and arts in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Philippine-Russian diplomatic relations.
“As the day begins in the Philippines, we ended our day here in Moscow with a long standing ovation in the Ruskaya Pesnya State Theater! Congratulations to the entire team of Days of Philippine Culture in Russia! Off to St. Petersburg tomorrow!” the prima ballerina happily said.
