HSBC named best bank for China’s Belt & Road trade plan
The bank’s name is its claim to fame.
Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) delivered its promise of bridging global transactions to and from China. The international bank won as the Best Overall International Bank for Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) at the first-ever Asiamoney New Silk Road Finance Awards.
It also won as best bank for BRI-related infrastructure finance in Southeast and South Asia, as well as for Central & Eastern Europe and Middle East & Africa.
“We believe the Belt and Road will create a wealth of opportunities for our clients and we look forward to providing them with outstanding services across financing, advisory, risk management and transaction banking,” according to Peter Wong, HSBC Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive.
