Andrew Tan to invest P3.8B in Skytrain
INFRACORP Development Inc., the newly formed unit of Andrew Tan’s Alliance Global Group Inc., will spend P3.8 billion to build the 2 kilometer-Skytrain that will traverse Guadalupe to Fort Bonifacio.
The company offered to build the monorail at no cost to the government.
INFRACORP president Kevin Tan said the project would be funded by internally-generated cash.
The project, if approved by the government, will mark Tan’s entry into infrastructure development, adding to his business portfolio which comprises real estate development, gaming, liquor, and fastfood.
Under its proposal, INFRACORP will build a station in Guadalupe, Makati near the MRT station and another in Uptown Bonifacio, a township development Tan’s real estate arm Megaworld Corp.
Construction of the project will take three years.
