Chris Tiu catches ‘monster dinosaur fish’ in Canada’s Fraser River
At over eight feet in length, Christopher Tiu definitely landed one big fish.
We can’t help but be stunned with the son of Highlands co-founder Jerry Tiu’s awesome Fraser River fishing experience in British Columbia, Canada. Almost killing his back, Chris successfully reeled in “this bad monster fish” of a sturgeon and made us drool with the sight of a massive chunk of salmon roe coming out of a female chum salmon.
“This dinosaur almost killed my back, took us maybe 15mins to tire him out. But it was all worth it. They are said to be descendants of prehistoric creatures so they are protected and we release them after, you’ll see it in the video.
We also reeled in some salmon for our dinner and some to use as bait for the sturgeon. Glad we landed this female chum salmon. They supposedly have more value because of those eggs!! 😋
The second video is actually a male that probably just arrived from the Pacific ocean that’s why the meat is still nice n pink! The 3rd photo is a male chum salmon that was probably bitten by a seal. This year is the chum salmon run but next year should have A LOT of sockeye so make sure you call my buddy Lang @langsfishingadventures if you are in British Columbia & if you want some action. And make sure to ask him to prepare you his special bbq for lunch. And don’t book last minute cause he is very in demand. #fishing #fraserriver #salmon,” @chris_tiu17 said.
What a good catch, Chris!
