Gokongwei family keen on transport infra projects
JG Summit Holdings Inc. is looking at transport-related infrastructure projects under the public-private partnership model.
“ We are still looking for opportunities,” JG Summit president Lance Y. Gokongwei said.
The investment holding firm earlier formed JG Summit Infrastructure Holdings Corp.to serve as the corporate vehicle for its infrastructure projects.
JG Summit, together with the Gotianun family’s Filinvest Group earlier submitted a proposal to develop the Clark International Airport at an estimated cost of P187 billion.
The company has diversified interests ranging from airline, real estate, banking, food and beverage to petrochemical. It also holds minority interests in power generation, and telecommunications.
