Ayala-led AC Energy Holdings Inc. and its partner UPC Renewables Indonesia Ltd. hoping to complete Indonesia’s first wind farm located in South Sulawesi in the first quarter of 2018.
AC Energy said the construction of Indonesia’s first utility-scale wind farm, which has a capacity of 75 megawatts (MW), is almost 70 percent complete.
The joint venture firm has started installing 30 Gwind turbine generators since August this year.
AC Energy has been expanding its footprint in the Southeast Asian region.
Apart from this wind farm project, AC Energy holds a 20 percent stake in Star Energy B.V., which acquired Chevron’s geothermal operations in Indonesia.
