How Injap Sia’s unrelenting drive won him a car
The “probinsiyano in Roxas city” tell how he claimed victory with a brand-new Honda Civic in a nationwide text messaging contest.
Edgar “Injap” Sia II shared how careful planning and perseverance led him to win an P837,000 worth of car. He paid college classmate Ernie P200 a day to text at night. If Injap won the contest, Ernie would get a Nokia cellphone.
“In the morning, I would send my entries. And then at night I would go to his boarding house, and pass on the cellphone we used to join the contest. On the way there, I would drop by the Caltex gas station to buy a siopao and some Lipovitan for Ernie, so he could continue texting through the night. I set an alarm for 3am so I could call Ernie and check if he was still awake and doing his job. The next day, at 7:30 in the morning, I would get the phone again and take over texting,” Injap shared.
No doubt about it, Injap’s meticulous strategic thinking and cunning implementation won the car. #
