MVP Group shells out P3.7B to expand existing toll roads
Metro Pacific Tollways Corp. (MPTC) spent P3.7 billion to expand its toll roads in the north and south of Manila.
MPTC president and CEO Rodrigo E. Franco said the enhancement program at North Luzon Expressway, Manila-Cavite Expressway and Subic-Clark Tarlac Expressway, involves both completed and ongoing expansion of roads and toll plazas as well as construction of new exits.
At the NLEX, 64 new lane-kilometers between Sta. Rita, Guiguinto, Bulacan and Sta. Ines, Mabalacat City, Pampanga have been fully opened this year to improve travel convenience, ensure safety of motorists, and promote growth of local businesses in the Central Luzon region.
More toll lanes were built in Balintawak, Mindana Avenue, and Meycauayan toll plazas to increase transaction capacity and speed up travel between Metro Manila and the provinces in the north.
The San Fernando City Interchange will also be upgraded with the construction of two complemently new bridges.
