NEDA approves P11.4B plan to build 30 bridges
The Philippines will be more interconnected than ever with these new projects.
A unit of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) has approved a grand infrastructure project to construct multiple bridges across the country during its meeting on Friday, Oct. 20.
In a statement, the NEDA said the proposed Bridge Construction and Acceleration Project for Socioeconomic Development has cleared its first hurdle following the approval at the Investment Coordination Committee-Cabinet Committee level.
The plan entails building 2,848 lineal meters of bridges for nine regions by 2022. Five iconic bridges and 25 truss bridges will be erected for a total cost of P11.37 billion, the NEDA said.
