ABS-CBN-produced dramas will soon be available in Africa

 

Lopez-led media conglomerate ABS-CBN Corp. has entered into a partnership with StarTimes, the leading digital TV operator across Sub-Saharan Africa.

The deal involves the airing of ABS-CBN series in the region to meet the clamor of African viewers for more Filipino dramas.

“Despite the highly competitive global market, Africa has remained to be one of our constant and strongest territories,” said Maria Cecilia Imperial, ABS-CBN OIC-head for Integrated Acquisitions and International Sales and Distribution said.

“We look forward to an even wider presence for Filipino content in the region via the StarTimes platform,” she added.

ABS-CBN hopes to reach new audiences and touch the hearts of more African viewers through its heartfelt Filipino stories..

“Filipino stories are full of youthful romance, pure love, and also dramatic plots. They show how the young Asian people struggle with lives and how to love,” StarTimes chairman Pang Xinxing said.

ABS-CBN’s content is available across other territories through ABS-CBN International Distribution, a premier source of high quality Filipino programming in over 50 territories all over the world.
