RSA skips HK business meeting to watch Ginebra win back-to-back titles for first time

Who says business comes first?

For bilyonaryo Ramon S. Ang, a Ginebra Game 7 is worth making his business partners wait another day.

Just minutes after the Gin Kings thumped Meralco Bolts in Game 7 last Friday, Alfrancis Chua, Ginebra’s PBA board representative, revealed that RSA chose to stay at home to watch the country’s most popular sports team.

(Unlike other PBA team owners such as Alaska’s Fred Uytengsu and Talk ‘n’ Text’s Manny V. Pangilinan who sit a few rows behind their team’s bench, RSA does his cheering at home watching the game on TV).

“Kay boss RSA na kailangan na pumuntang Hong Kong may meeting, hindi umalis just to watch this game, maraming salamat sa suporta niyo at advise na binibigay sa amin at sa players, ” said Chua who is also San Miguel’s sports director.

Ginebra Coach Tim Cone and Finals MVP LA Tenorio also thanked RSA for his “support” and “motivation.”
