MRC, China Energy to explore LNG projects in PH
MRC Corp. has signed a memorandum of understanding with China Energy Engineering Corp. Ltd. to jointly explore the possibility of developing and operating liquefied natural gas projects in the Philippines.

The move is in line with MRC’s plans to goal to go full blast on power generation and build at least 1,000 megawatts of renewable energy by 2022.
MRC earlier said it received proposals from European and Middle Eastern companies looking at the Philippines as a potential site for LNG business.
It is pursuing renewable energy projects through unit Menlo Renewable Energy Corp. and other affiliates.
The group, together with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority and Sunday Power Inc., is developing a P5 billion greenfield solar plant project in Clark Green City in Pampanga.
