20 gov’t agencies to sign up for ASEAN digital trade platform

Nearly 20 government agencies are gearing up for an online platform for Southeast Asia.

Government offices in the Philippines are preparing to join the ASEAN Single Window being prepared across the region within the first half of 2018, which is seen to improve the ease of doing business in the Philippines.

The new platform will speed up cargo clearances across member-states, which include Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Importers are expected to have a simpler time to send shipments from one country to another.
