GMA claims TV market leadership
GMA Network, Inc. said it maintained its lead in nationwide TV ratings in November, citing data from Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.
The Kapuso network logged a total day average of 43.2 percent from Nov. 19 to 30, up from ABS-CBN’s 38.2 percent.
GMA registered a 38.8 percent people audience share in the morning block versus ABS-CBN’s 35.9 percent, while GMA’s afternoon line-up consistently dominated the 12 noon to 6 pm block with 47 percent; way better than ABS-CBN’s 36.2 percent.
Its trong showing continued in the evening block, accounting for 42.1 percent versus ABS-CBN’s 40.8 percent.
GMA likewise beat ABS-CBN in all time blocks in both Urban Luzon and Mega Manila, which respectively accounted for 76 and 59 percent of all urban viewers in the country.
In Urban Luzon, GMA recorded a total day people audience share of 48.8 percent; besting ABS-CBN’s 32.6 percent.
Similarly, in Mega Manila (based on November 1 to 18 data), the Kapuso Network continued its dominance with 51.1 percent total day average share as against ABS-CBN’s 28.5 percent.
