MVP tells Ateneo boys on eve of Game 3 Finals: Be an example to next generation, by doing things the right way

Bilyonaryo Manny V. Pangilinan met with the Ateneo seniors basketball player and coaching staff on the eve of what he personally considered as one of the most important basketball games of his life.
In a post-game interview with ABS-CBN’s Christian Luanzon, Ateneo coach Tab Baldwin revealed that Pangilinan, the biggest supporter of the Ateneo basketball program. invited the Blue Eagles to his office here gave the “most inspirational messages to players.”
Baldwin said Pangilinan told the players: “We must go out and be an example to the next generation and we do that by doing things the right way.”
During the celebration at the Katipunan campus following Ateneo’s 88-86 triumph over the defending champions La Salle, Pangilinan called this batch of Blue Eagles “special” which was a big deal considering that he was also part of Ateneo’s 5-peat run.
Pangilinan: “This is a team that’s quite special to me… I’ve been exposed to a lot of basketball in my life, and this team has been special to me since my first game.”
