Fake G-shock watches, shoes caught in latest smuggling crackdown in Customs

Imitation products and mislabeled packages fell on the hands of Customs officials.

Shipments worth a total of P17.5 million were intercepted by the Bureau of Customs at the Port of Manila after these were discovered carrying imitation products.

In a statement, the bureau said authorities caught various packages carrying fake G-shock watches, shoes, rice, used clothing, two heavy equipment, and other general merchandise on Tuesday, Dec. 5. These shipments came from China and were not declared as such in their official documents.

Thanks to X-ray scans, the illegal shipments were caught and apprehended.
