Merry Christmas! DBM grants P5,000 across-the-board bonus for gov’t workers
Some 1.5 million employees will have a happy start to the holiday season.
The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has approved the release of P5,000 as productivity enhancement incentive for government workers who have rendered at least four months of “satisfactory” service this year.
In a statement, the agency said the bomus will be released by Dec. 15 and will benefit the military, local government workers, and civilian personnel across branches of government, as well as Constitutional offices and commissions.
The government will spend P7.5 billion for this incentive. This will be on top of other benefits enjoyed by civil servants, which include a mid-year bonus equivalent to one month basic salary.
