McDonald’s PH dishes out cashless payment system
Golden Arches Development Corp. has partnered with PayMaya Philippines Inc. to integrate cashless payments for its customers.
Over 40 McDonald’s restaurants across the country are now accepting card payments for all types of Mastercard and Visa credit, debit, and prepaid cards, including PayMaya Visa cards and Smart Mastercard.
“This is digital technology at its most convenient, and we are working toward enabling more partners like McDonald’s to further build a ‘cashless’ ecosystem all around the country,” said Manuel V. Pangilinan, chairman of PLDT, Smart and PayMaya.
“We’re starting with McDonald’s today, but we envision a future where most of our transactions will be carried out with the help of a PayMaya account,” he added.
McCafe BGC Arts Center and McCafe Tagaytay Calamba stores will also soon be accepting Paymaya QR payments.
“Our goal is to continuously provide our customers with a convenient and feel-good restaurant experience, which is why we are committed in seeking out innovations that can deliver this to them,” said Kenneth S. Yang, president and CEO of McDonald’s.
