BDO, BPI, Metrobank compete on air travel sales

This is the new arena for their showdown.

The country’s three biggest private banks have a new platform for competition: discounted airfare.

BDO Unibank, the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), and the Metropolitan Bank & Trust Company are all dangling their respective promos for credit card clients for discounted plane tickets.

Each bank has its own partner airlines.

BDO has Cathay, Qatar, and Japan Airlines; as well as Korean Air and American Airlines.

Meanwhile, BPI covers both local and international travel with budget carrier AirAsia.

Metrobank Card chose China Airlines for their latest offering.

Millennial travelers will have a fiesta!
