PLDT to seal outsourcing deal with Amdocs
Telecommunications giant PLDT Inc. expects to finalize negotiations with US-based software and services provider Amdocs for an outsourcing contract this month.
“We hope to complete talks by the end of January,” said Manuel V. Pangilinan, chairman and president of PLDT said.
PLDT is seeking to outsource some of its information technology services to Amdocs after talks with IBM hit a snag.
Amdocs offers digital and network transformation through innovative solutions, delivery expertise and intelligent operations to its customers. It has 25,000 employees which serve customers in over 85 countries.
Pangilinan earlier said PLDT could realize as much as P7 billion in savings by outsourcing some of its IT operations.
