Converge ICT wants to expand broadband access to all

Converge ICT Solutions, Inc. has entered into partnerships with foreign groups to further expand its Internet broadband capacity across the country.

Company president Dennis Anthony Uy said the goal is to cover the entire Luzon area this year and launch a sub-sea cable that will connect the entire Philippines.

“We’ve already been called the ‘disruptor’ because I want to bring different avenues for telco services and we are bringing more new technologies. We even have a construction company that will take care of building the infrastructure because we can do it ourselves,” Uy said.

Uy said the company would expand aggressively to reach major provinces like Cavite, Batangas, Bulacan, Pampanga and Pangasinan. It will also continue on building on its Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) business.

Apart from this, Converge IT plans to invest in applications and cloud services particularly in the government, and to expand product offerings to include providing video services and content distribution.
