Pagcor, PNP go after government workers gambling at casinos

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. has teamed up with the Philippine National Police (PNP) to enforce the full force of the law against government officials and employees playing in casinos.

According to the PNP, government employees who will be caught gambling “will be arrested and charged.”

The move is pursuant to President Duterte’s directive to strictly implement Presidential Decree No. 1869, which bans government officials and members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police from staying in casinos.

PNP said this serves as a stern warning to government employees to stay away from casinos.

Pagcor chairman and CEO Andrea Domingo said they would ” keep a close watch on all casino areas nationwide.”
